EAGLE or BLAST - which one is the right freeride board for you?

1) EAGLE: IT'S ALL ABOUT PLANING
Where you come from: you had your first Windsurfing experience and are capable of staying upwind. There is no other board which will help you to experience the gliding/planing sensation in such a short time than the EAGLE.
Where it will take you: besides getting planing, jibing is the second strength of the EAGLE. But it's not just made for learning to (power)jibe but will even accompany you up to freerace blasting and laydown jibing
2) BLAST: MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE WITH MINIMUM EFFORT
Where you come from: you are comfortable of sailing in the foot straps then the BLAST is your performance machine.
Where it will take you: the BLAST will instantly make you a faster sailor. Since it's also very easy to jibe it will be your partner from your first power jibes up to pro level laydown race jibes. Partnered with a high performance fin and a freerace sail you might even become the fastest guy at your spot with the BLAST, whilst still maintaining the comfort of a freeride board.
The EAGLE was designed with the following objectives:
> Super early (passive) planing
> Automatic/instinctive jibing
> Maximum wind range and control even in choppy conditions
This makes the EAGLE the perfect intermediate to advanced board which will accompany you from your first planing attempts all the way through to blasting and lay down jibing.
To achieve these characteristics the team around Dani Aeberli (Product Manager Boards) have developed the VOLUME YET CONTROL CONCEPT:
The slightly longer and therefore less curved outline allows us to increase the volume by up to 30 litres compared to short-curved boards (e.g. Fanatic Gecko or Tabou Rocket) without any loss of control.
The extra volume though results in a much more confident, predictable and relaxed riding position especially in underpowered or sub-planing conditions.

The slightly longer and therefore less curved outline also offers 2 additional important advantages
1) It prevents the board from turning unnecessarily into the wind which lets the Eagle get onto a plane almost automatically
2) It prevents the board from bouncing around even in rough chop which becomes an issue with wide-curved boards
The manoeuvre-oriented rail shape allows for an effortlessness and predictable jibing behaviour as the thin rails require less pressure to initiate the turn. This is ideal for jibing novices or to increase your lay-down jibing success rate.
Yet even for an advanced sailor the EAGLE is anything but a boring board to sail. It almost feels like a longer version of the BLAST since it shares a very similar scoop-rocker line.

Life is complicated enough, so we've made returning items as simple as possible for mainland UK. Head to your account and click the link for returning items and we'll take it from there. For exchanges, simply select "refund" and re-order the required item again. We'll refund the very moment it's returned to us.
For NI, Channel Islands, Europe and Rest of World, you the customer will need to return the item to us as collections are not possible.
For item's where we've made a mistake or the item is faulty - we'll refund all postage costs on receipt of postage receipt and dispatch replacements items FOC. For items simply no longer required or where you the customer has ordered the incorrect size or product, return postage will not be refunded and dispatching out will be chargeable.

I purchased the Unit SLS 2025 wing earlier this year and it has made tacks so much smoother and upgraded my riding. I also bought the Duotone Carve 3.0 D/LAB 2025 with the 800 front wing and once again it’s been a game changer, having a great amount of glide which works perfectly for both wingfoiling and kitefoiling!
All thanks to the H2O team that always have loads of knowledge, passion for watersports and go above and beyond!
Preferring not to throw away my (now discontinued) North Red boom which had a broken cuff, I called H2O to see if there was any way to salvage it. I spoke with Matt who was very knowledgeable and helpful but came off the phone somewhat resigned that I might not be able to get the part. However to my surprise a little while later I was blown away (with a force 5) when I got a call to tell me he’d sourced one for me. And here I am now, a week on, with all the bits I need to get back on the water; whoever said people don’t have time to help others! So the moral of this story is have a little faith and try H2O!

Ordered a 1350 Glide 2.0 to progress on to from my 1750 aero free. Being a heavier rider I've found it's now my go to foil wing, initially a bit harder to get on the foil compared to the aero free but once up it feels completely effort less! Thanks to the team for getting me sorted out 🤙

My new mast arrived from H20. Sports and it was so worth the wait. You immediately notice how much stiffer it is compared to the v1 carbon version when riding. The foil feels more responsive and direct .It also glides longer in transition s and riding bumps.
Its well worth the upgrade in my opinion.
I bpught this wing to replacr my Unit 5.5 m wing for tje summer breezes as i never liked using big wings. This wing is really powerful in the low end and allows you to pump really efficiently to get on foil with a bit of technique.
You can size down by half a metre with this wing compared to a Unit.
Its still fast and so good iwhen you roll into a tack.
Perfect quiver would be a 3 m , 4m & a 5 m in the Float for all conditions.
Its a great price too as lower than Dlab and SLS wings but with great performance.
As one of the H2O riders I have really enjoyed the variety of kit H2O have available. Including the Duotone sky surf 35Ltr which quickly become my favourite board because of its shorter and thicker shape while being low in litres it still allows me to get it out the water in some lighter winds. However it comes into its own when the wind is strong and the waves are pumping with its incredible manoeuvrability. Paired with the Duotone units (that are light weight and precisely balanced) wave riding is a dream.
I've been one of those riders who thought one board was enough. Turns out a downwind board has opened up so many more days on the water. I cant believe how easy this beast gets going in 6 knots. I use my 8' board with the 1100 and 1595 Duotone Glide. It's like a whole new sport. Whilst I've tried paddling up, I think I'll stick to winging for now (although can't wait to try the Stash Parawing).
Lots of the benefits of the DLAB Unit but without the price tag. Strong, light, and powerful. It's been great in all conditions, handles really well when over powered. I bought the 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 to cover all eventualities. Personally I prefer the handle option which works really well with my harness. Matt and the team really helpful in deciding on the sizing.
I absolutely love my 65L/4'9" Sky Style SLS Wing Board. I'm about 88kg and it suits me for most conditions. Easy planing, great in waves, sold for jumping. Incredibly light, especially when paired with a DLAB Carve 800 foil and mast, which makes it a great overseas travel option too. Carbon finish and colours look great (picture on website doesn't do it enough justice). Not a big fan of the front foot straps overlapping but going to put the new v-strap on which will sort this.
I usually go for the DLAB or SLS Concept Blue Units but this wing has had great reviews so thought I'd give it a try. Great power delivery and handling, really light weight but solid construction. The wing’s dihedral and tension profile give amazing flight balance so although designed for wave/downwind, I think this wind would suit all levels. Bought teh 5m for the summer but bought a 4 ready for the winter swell.
The 2025 Unit is a good allrounder fast, stiff & light wing.
I prefer to size down my Unit as they are really grunty wings.
They also have great top end aswell and the white colourway looks cool.
I have ridden the Skybrid SLS 70 litre and its a great hybrid board between a short wave freesyle board and a mid length shape.
Easy to get up though its narrower than my previous boards and does require a little more effort.
The big advantage is the early planing speed to get on foil and the glide.
Its a good allrounder in waves and flat water.
